Puppy Pre-school

Puppy Pre-school

There are many benefits to teaching your puppy to be well-behaved at an early age. Young puppies have the most learning capacity and will easily pick up obedience skills, toilet training and social boundaries. All of these things help make your relationship with your dog more rewarding for the years to come.

COVID update (29/10/21):

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, unfortunately our trainer is not currently holding puppy school. Please have a look at their website https://www.k9-connect.com.au, they have a great daycare program perfect for socialisation, or speak to them for training and behavioural advice and online classes.

Do you want to start your puppy off on the right paw?

The nurses at Knox Veterinary Clinic are here to help!

Vaccinated puppies around 8-14 weeks of age are welcome to join us on a four-week course aimed to socialise puppies, educate owners and teach basic obedience training while having fun. Good, positive socialisation as puppies is critical for their future interactions out on walks and daycare.

Topics covered on the course to Puppy Pre-School Graduation are:

  • How to socialise positively and appropriately
  • Diet
  • Toilet training
  • Bathing and grooming
  • Desexing and microchipping
  • Obedience — sit, drop, look & give

Each puppy will also receive a Puppy Pack containing products, food and discount vouchers for their next vaccinations and worming treatment at the clinic.

The four-week course costs $100 per puppy and is held at the clinic on Tuesday nights. Puppies may not join in the middle of the course, so book your place early and ask us about our next availability!
