LAURA

Veterinarian (DVM)

Dr. Laura Daly is originally from Ireland but very well-travelled. During her studies at Szent Istvan University in Budapest, she completed a clinical semester in Toronto and following qualification, worked in the United Kingdom at a small animal practice for four years. Laura decided to take the leap and move to Australia after holidaying here and falling in love with the lifestyle and climate. Upon completion of the national veterinary exams in Australia in 2018, Laura joined the team with her fur baby Harvey the Spaniel X Poodle. Laura loves the variety that small animal practice brings, and has a special interest in surgery. She loves working with all the different shapes and sizes of each precious pet that trots, runs, bounces, carried or dragged through the door every day!

SAM

Veterinarian (DVM)

Dr Sam is a Melbourne local who graduated from Murdoch University in Perth and is experienced in small animal practice. She has a wide variety of interests including internal medicine, ultrasound imaging, and palliative care. With a gentle touch and a compassionate soul, she cares for all aspects of patient welfare, owner well-being and their unique circumstances. Outside of work she enjoys being creative and working with her hands, and has made many beautiful pieces with pottery, jewellery, even a wisteria bonsai out of crochet.

SHARON

Veterinarian

Dr Sharon began at Knox as a Locum Vet, helping us out as required, as well as working at an Emergency clinic.  We loved having her here and asked her to stay!  She now works 3 days a week and one Saturday a month. Sharon speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin, which comes in handy! She is pictured here with her beloved greyhound Bridgette, who was recently a flower girl at Sharon's wedding.

MICHELLE

Veterinarian (BVM&S MRCVS)

Michelle has returned after 6 months of maternity leave.  She is working one day a week on a Tuesday after welcoming her little daughter earlier this year!

KELLY

Practice Manager (QVN)

Kelly began working at Knox Veterinary Clinic in 1998 and completed her diploma of Veterinary Nursing in 2001. Over the years Kelly has worked a variety of hours around her family commitments but now that her 3 kids are growing up and are all at high school you will likely see her here working at the clinic most days.  She's great with both people and animals, and she has her own German Shepherd named Ruby who keeps the entire family active.

KIM

Veterinary Nurse

Kim grew up locally and was a regular visitor to the clinic in days past. She changed careers to start vet nursing here in 2006, first as a volunteer, then becoming full time. She gets to indulge in her passion for animals every day and would never go back to an office job. Kim owns a mischievous chocolate Labrador called Amber, who's trained and spoilt in equal measure!

MARCIA

Veterinary Nurse

Marcia works at the clinic part-time and is a long-standing member of our team. Currently, Marcia has Axle the Bull Mastiff X, Kip the Kelpie X, Felix the cat, and Luna the Cattle Dog X, along with a number of horses!  When she’s not working Marcia likes to relax at her semi-rural property and enjoy the serenity out in nature.

JESS

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Jess started working at Knox in September 2022, changing careers from her previous position as Manager at Maha restaurant in Melbourne.  Jess is currently undertaking her Cert 4 in Veterinary nursing and juggling work and study alongside her family commitments of being Mum to her 3 kids and her 3 fur-babies Winnie the dog and Anchovy and Astrid the cats. Jess always greets everyone with a smile and is quickly learning the skills and knowledge to gain her Vet Nursing Qualification.

BELLA

Veterinary Nurse (QVN)

Bella is our newest addition to the team and has recently completed her qualifications in Veterinary Nursing. After discovering that university wasn't for her, she began her journey to become a vet nurse in 2020.  During her free time, Bella likes to attend concerts and listen to various audiobooks.  She has a Staffy x Australian Shepherd named Albus and is the happiest caring for him as well as every fur baby that walks through the clinic doors!
